Your Health Centre

Mitchell's Gourmet Foods has two health centres, one located in each plant. During the business week, the health centre at the 11th Street plant is open from 5:15am to Midnight and the health centre at McLeod Avenue is open from 7:00am to 3:30pm daily. During the hours the health centres are closed, there are first responders and first aid attendants trained to treat any work related injuries that may occur.

• Athletic Therapists
• Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’s)
• First Responders - 20 employees on various shifts at both plants
• First Aid Attendants - located throughout both plants

Role of the Health Centre

• First aid treatment of all work related injuries
• Emergency care of traumatic injuries
• Assessment and rehabilitation of work related and non-work related injuries
• Education for employees on the importance of stretching while at work
• First aid training for employees at Mitchell's Gourmet Foods
• Job Placement/Early Intervention program for employees injured on and off the job
• Ergonomic Evaluations
• Resource centre - information is made available on several health related topics
